Leadership Roles
Advocacy through service.
By serving in several key healthcare leadership positions, the Local Council of Women plays a crucial role in helping bring the best possible health care to our community and bridges the gap between the healthcare system and the community it serves, including Bloomington Hospital (now IU Health Bloomington Hospital), which we helped establish.
Partnerships
Working together to improve community health.
To foster a more vibrant and resilient community health network, the Local Council of Women actively engages in collaboration with partner organizations and provides financial support for local programs that make a positive healthy impact on the lives of those residing in and around Bloomington, Indiana.
Scholarships
Investing in a healthier future.
Each year, to show our appreciation for their commitment to a healthier future, the Local Council of Women (LCW), in collaboration with the Bloomington Health Foundation (BHF), awards several financial scholarships to local students pursuing a career in health care who have been accepted into an accredited program of study.
Community Grant
Investing in community health.
For over a century, the Local Council of Women has championed health and wellness in South Central Indiana. Through the LCW Community Grant, we’re funding innovative programs that address critical health needs, especially in underserved areas.
